Unitec Short Cuts

Unitec is proud to launch Unitec Short Cuts, a film competition celebrating the creativity and talent of young filmmakers. Open to New Zealand Secondary School students in Year 12 or 13, this festival showcases original short films across a range of genres such as drama, comedy, documentary, horror, dance, and more!

This is an exciting opportunity to have students work screened, gain industry insights, and connect with fellow filmmakers. Whether it’s an aspiring Director, Screenwriter, Cinematographer, or Producer, this competition is an empowering platform for students to shine.

Closing Date

The Unitec Short Cuts film competition has a closing date of July 21, at 4pm.  (This could be a great project for students to work on between Terms).
