Update on University of Auckland entry requirements and support

The University of Auckland recognises that 2021 has been another challenging year for students with many disruptions due to Covid-19. We are aware of the serious impacts of the continued Covid-19 disruptions on achievement for some of your senior students.  For some students who started the year with the ambition of achieving UE and starting University study in 2022, these impacts may have been particularly severe. Please see the attached information and updates to our website for details of the University of Auckland entrance requirements and support for 2022. Please feel free to also share this information with others in your school who may benefit from this update.

Changes to Bachelor of Engineering Entrance Requirements for 2022 entrance

As a consequence of COVID disruptions in 2021, the Faculty of Engineering wishes to signal an adjustment to its previously advised admission requirements for 2022 entrance.

Please see the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) domestic entry requirements for details on the changes and how they apply to NCEA, IB and Cambridge students.

Tōia ki Waipapa

As part of the University of Auckland’s summer offerings, Tōia ki Waipapa is an opportunity for current year 13 tauira to get a head start at University while completing a credit bearing course which can be applied to their degree. After the challenges this year it might also be an opportunity to assist those who might be nervous about gaining entry into university or are looking for a university experience before making the commitment to study.

If this sounds like an opportunity your students might be interested in, or if you know of students who might benefit from being a part of this, registrations are currently open! For any questions, please contact Kaitohutohu Tautoko Tauira ki Tōia ki Waipapa, Mereana Toki at [email protected]
