Girls with Hi-vis – 28 August – Henderson

Girls with Hi-vis is an industry initiative being coordinated nationally by Connexis, an Industry Training Organisation, to encourage young women to consider a career in the Energy Industry and undertake a trade or technical pathway.

Women are an asset to the industry – great at multi-tasking, attention to detail & communication but they don’t always picture themselves in a technical role.

ELECTRIX – a leading energy provider – is hosting a 4 hour event to support this initiative in the form of presentations and practical work demonstrations.  Electrix female trainees and qualified female trade staff will provide participants with insight into the trades opportunities open to women in the energy industry.

Morning tea and lunch will also be included.

We herewith invite Auckland based female school students who may be interested in a trade or technical career in our industry to attend this event.

Time: 10:00 – 14:00

Venue: 45 Keeling Road, Henderson, Auckland

Places are limited and will be on a first served basis, with further details provided to those selected to attend this event.  If you know of anyone who may be interested in attending this event, please get them to complete the attached application form and email it to Arthur Wyatt at Connexis by close of business Friday 14th August 2015.

This event is also a great opportunity for participants to position themselves for a place on a Connexis Electricity Supply Taster Course* as attendance will be looked on favourably when reviewing applications.
