These workshops are for 15 – 19 year olds, and instead of payment, we just ask for a koha of a can of food (or non perishable food item). All proceeds go to people in hardship (including our own Unitec students).
Intro to Early Childhood Education (27th April)
Lets introduce you to the world of ECE. You’ll gain perspective for teaching children at the early developmental stages while exploring play through sensory, interactive and creative activities. Our lecturers will also take your through what you need to know to enter the Bachelor of teaching ECE.
Drawing Intensive (26th – 27th April)
This dynamic two-day drawing workshop covers gesture, texture, tone, line and form, in wet and dry media. You will be instructed in traditional, and experimental procedures to create rich and expressive drawings at medium and large scale.
Drawing for Character (26th – 28th April)
This course will focus on exploring figure drawing for illustration, animation, and graphic novels. Learning to draw the human figure and develop characters based on the human figure. This will enable students to construct their own characters and place these in action poses for animation or static images.
Design Beautiful User Interfaces for Mobile Apps (26th – 27th April)
Beautiful User Interfaces are not only seductive and stylish – but more usable too. This 2-day course will teach you the professional software tools & design principles required to make drop-dead gorgeous User Interfaces. By the end of two days you will have created an impressive prototype app that you can test and share.
3D Drawing for Product and Furniture Design (28th April)
This workshop will take you through a series of 3D drawing techniques that enable designers to explore and illustrate their concepts. From pencil and paper through to markers and digital techniques, this workshop will increase your capability, no matter what your current skill level is!
