We are looking for applicants with a natural and amazing set of soft skills, that have a passion for working with children and/or young people.
- Great time management – we deliver lessons back to back over a 3 – 4 hour period
- Experience under pressure – while swim teaching is typically not a high pressure environment, teachers must work on their own and be quick to make decisions
- Consistency and commitment – we are looking for applicants that can commit to term time lessons for a period of at least 12 months
Hard skills, we will provide comprehensive and ongoing training to all of our successful applicants. Our teachers hold an AUSTSwim qualification that is attained in the first 4 weeks of onboarding with Auckland Council, as well as Workplace First Aid for any successful applicant that does not hold a FA cert.
Any background in swim teaching, swimming or water sports is preferred but not essential. We are simply looking for the right people!
